Fundamental Frequencies continues to float DJ Fokus’s jungle legacy back to the surface with another 12” reissue from his own 1994 Suicide Records imprint. The breaks on ‘Watch Out’ are simultaneously sludged out and fuelled by helium, taking a hardcore detour into raving synths and bleep signals sounding out from the ruckus. ‘Media’ meanwhile focusses on sparking pyrotechnics, moody subs, and potent rhythms scrambling across field, breaking for a lush, misty interlude before evolving those heaving beats into new forms.
